101 Goals in 1001 Days

So, inspired by my BFF Mel G, I've created my own 101 Goals in 1001 Days list. I need to figure out how to post it on the side of the homepage. Help!

note: Melissa inspired me to write this list; and as it turns out, we have many goals in common!

1. Go on a road trip to at least 8 different states

2. Take the kids to Sesame Place

3. Make ice cream from scratch

4. Make a custom recipe book

5. Leave an inspirational note inside a book for someone to find

6. Visit the San Diego Zoo

7. ~~Keep my car clean for a whole month~~

8. Attend a murder mystery night

9. Work my way through an entire cookbook (a la Julie & Julia)

10. ~~Create or go on a scavenger hunt~~

11. Shop at a farmer's market

12. Attend a live taping of a TV show

13. ~~Get rid of all the clutter in the spare room~~

14. Visit Hershey Park with the family and get a picture taken with a big chocolate bar

15. ~~Switch to skim milk in coffee…permanently~~

16. Mow the lawn

17. ~~Read “The Catcher in the Rye”~~

18. No takeout for a month (including DD coffee!)

19. Keep nails polish free for 2 weeks – without picking at them!

20. Visit a butterfly garden with my daughter

21. Complete a coloring book

22. Send anonymous flowers (or cookies) to someone who is having a tough day

23. ~~Make a new friend~~

24. ~~Influence a person to make a day zero list~~

25. Send a message in a bottle

26. Host a board game night

27. Save $5 for every task I complete

28. Pay Mark $10 for every task I don’t complete

29. Run a 5K race

31. Go for a nature hike

32. Finish decorating my bedroom

34. Bring lunch to work every day for a month

44. Try 5 new places the Phantom Gourmet recommends

45. ~~Go a week without spending any money (besides on bills)~~

46. Go 2 weeks without using my credit card

48. ~~Understand where we are spending money on bills, and find ways to cut down~~

49. watch 10 of the Academy Awards Best Picture films

50. attend a Japanese tea ceremony

51. ~~For one month, only buy exactly what is on the grocery list~~

52. ~~send coffee to troops overseas~~

53. ~~see a new release the day it is available on Demand~~

54. find a way to use all those random ingredients in the pantry

55. go fishing

70. finish my master’s degree

72. clean the cat litter box for one week

73. try a new class at the gym

74. take an Alaskan cruise

75. give a kid all the tickets I win at the arcade

76. go on a Mt. Washington cruise on Lake Winnipesaukee

77. visit a (supposedly) haunted site

78. learn to make homemade fleur de sel caramels

79. ~~Praise a good customer service experience to the person's boss or corporate~~

80. Organize the bathroom closets in my house

81. Read Dave Ramsey's Total Money Makeover

82. get a picture of everyone together on Mark’s side of the family

83. completely redo my file cabinets at work

84. for one day, smile and wave at everyone who looks at me while I'm driving

85. ~~update/consolidate my address list in Excel to make life easier when sending out Christmas cards, invitations, etc~~

86. Girls only weekend

87. ~~go to the beach for a day~~

88. Visit Ben & Jerry's factory in Vermont

89. Visit the Cape Cod potato chip factory

90. ~~learn to knit, and make something useful from it~~

91. make a trip to Sonic, and have one of those slushy drinks I always see on the commercials

92. buy 10 greeting cards and send them to friends for no reason

93. next time we’re down South, eat chicken and waffles

94. get an ipod or MP3 player and transfer all my favorite songs from the CD’s that are sitting in the closet onto it. Then sell or donate them.

95. Take a trip to Spain with my family

96. learn a magic trick and show to all my friends

97. write a children’s book and make copies of it for all the kids in my life

98. ~~do something anonymously for someone experiencing financial hardship~~

99. ~~Do "Dream Dinners" to make my life easier for a month~~

100. ~~keep one month of weekends free of any plans~~
