Hello Classmates!
As you can see I have had a personal blog for a while, and have been maintaining on and off. With all the reading about blogs I have a renewed interest in updating my blog so I will try to keep it up through out the 6 weeks and beyond. This is my 7th class in the MSHRM program, and I am excited about it! If all goes according to plan, I'll finish up in the beginning of 2012, and will be graduating next May. (If you look at my "101 goals in 1001 days list", you'll see that finishing my Master's is #70 on the list. It should probably be nearer the top...
I'm married to a great guy and we have 2 fabulous kids, a daughter who is 3 and a son who is almost 2. This is the most recent picture we have of the 4 of us, and was taken last summer. I guess it might be time to get an updated one soon, because they both look so different now!
I work in Human Resources for a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) company, and I love my job - the people I work with are great and there's always something going on - never a dull moment, and that's usually a good thing.
In my spare time (what little I have after working and taking care of my family), I enjoy photography, cooking, reading, scrapbooking, and crocheting. Currently I'm reading "The Snakehead: An Epic Tale of the Chinatown Underworld and the American Dream", by Patrick Radden Keefe, and "Malled" by Caitlin Kelly. Both are great so far and I've been having a hard time putting them aside to focus on more pressing reads, like those for class! :)
